Transmission with T-Mobile is a Friday night music show presented by Steve Jones and Lauren Laverne and is a joint venture with Channel 4. The show is a blend of exclusive live performances, interviews and footage from T-Mobile Street Gigs, its sister site. T-Mobile naturally needed a web presence to support Transmission and to work sympathetically with the T-Mobile Street Gigs brand.

One of the important parts of the project was ensuring we had great information flow and a robust IA to work up the wireframes from. It was absolutely key that we clearly mapped how the content would be organised and the way a user could flow from one page to the next with ease.
The feature requirements of the Transmission site included allowing people to sign up to become part of the studio audience, track downloads from the show, display artist content as well as win exclusive prizes from the various artists that attended the series of shows.
We started the project armed with a final version of the Transmission logo and it was up to the team to convey the brand in the most effective way online, aligned with the other Transmission marketing collateral. It needed a young urban feel to reflect its target demographic of a younger generation of music fans.
Transmission is now in its third series and has been a great success in bringing the T-Mobile brand to a younger audience.
